On 22 August 2007, the former Federal Minister for Vocational and Further Education, the Hon Andrew Robb AO MP, presented awards to the 19 winners of the 2007 Minister's Awards for Excellence for Employers of Australian Apprentices at a gala event held in Melbourne.
The Minister's Awards for Excellence for Employers of Australian Apprentices recognise those employers who demonstrate commitment, innovation and outstanding achievement in the training of Australian Apprentices. The winning employers each received $5,000 from the Australian Government, a certificate commemorating their achievements and a unique hand-crafted trophy.
