The Commitment award recognises the lifetime achievements of an individual in relation to the training of Australian Apprentices. A number of awards are currently presented in the vocational education and training sector to clients and stakeholders including students, employers, schools and registered training organisations, however, there is no award that recognises the achievements of an individual who has completed an apprenticeship or traineeship, continued to work in the trade and is now involved in training Australian Apprentices as part of their business or employment – a person who has progressed ‘full circle’ through the Australian Apprenticeships system.
