Certificate III in Business

Abe Archibald is a proud indigenous man from Guyra, Northern NSW. Before commencing his Certificate III in Business traineeship, Abe was a competitive athlete and worked in various areas of the construction industry. The opportunity to work in human resources was a welcome one as Abe wanted to further his professional knowledge in business. Abe’s traineeship helped him to develop his skills and continue to move forward in his new direction. Abe is committed to life-long learning and has accepted a further 12 month traineeship with the Australian National University in Canberra undertaking a Certificate IV in Business. In addition to his traineeship Abe runs regular boxing classes for all ages. These classes allow Abe to develop a sense of community in the Canberra region, and give him insight into the region’s social issues and dynamics. Abe also made his debut as a professional boxer earlier this year.

Abe was recognised for his outstanding contribution to vocational education and training at the 2017 Australian Training Awards where he was runner-up for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year Award.
