St George Illawarra Dragons forward Bronson Harrison understands the benefits of employing Australian Apprentices.

Bronson, a previous Apprentice Mentor in the NRL’s Trade UP with the NRL program, employs two bricklaying Australian Apprentices in a construction business he owns with his brother Cheyne.

Bronson says developing their employees at Lee Bryce Construction is rewarding and having a positive financial impact.

“We make sure our Australian Apprentices understand the impact they have on all aspects of the business,” Bronson said.

“We try and help our Australian Apprentices become not only better bricklayers, but better people as well. There is so much for Australian Apprentices to learn - giving them some structure in their life gives them the best chance to succeed.”

"My experience in employing Australian Apprentices in my business ensures that I am well placed to advise players at the Dragons about their career options."

Bronson is a New Zealand representative and is approaching 200 first-grade matches after previously playing for Wests Tigers and the Canberra Raiders.
