National Skills Week (28 August – 3 September) marks a time to celebrate the important contributions vocational education and training (VET) makes to the lives of many Australians.
This year’s theme - More than you know – aims to showcase the considerable strengths of Australia’s VET system and demonstrate the valuable career opportunities it can present people of all ages.
In the Minister’s Message on the National Skills Week website, Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, the Hon. Karen Andrews MP talks about the pinnacle week on the skills and training calendar.
“This year’s National Skills Week will see a number of events and activities that celebrate the significant achievements of our VET system, and provides an opportunity to inform Australians about the array of talent and prosperity this sector has to offer.
“I encourage you to play a part by organising or attending an event or activity to recognise this important week for VET,” the Assistant Minister said.
